Tombstone is the best western movie ever made. It's official.
I got this great picture today in the mail from my aunt. It was a picture she took of my family, consisting of my mother and father, my two brothers and my sister. My mom's fake smiling and my brother Nathan's trying NOT to smile. My Dad can smile for real wheneever he wants, because he is an extremely happy person. And me and my brother Brian and sister Jay are laughing at something but I can't recall what it was. Brian has his arms around both me and Jay, and it's nice to have captured that moment of happiness. I don't know why I love that picture, but I just do.
But even behind that happiness, there is hidden problems and hurt and hostility.
I wonder if those are just the hurts that every family has, or if our family is different in our problems. Or maybe we're just different in the way that we hide them. I guess I'll never know, because I'll never be part of another family. I've got mine, and it's the best I'll ever have. They're not that bad.
And I love 'em.
